In-process emails paused
Your Marketing Team is committed to ensuring your borrowers and agent partners receive the most up-to-date information about their loan. Lately, we received some feedback issues with our automated loan status milestone updates sent from the Forge. We looked into it and discovered these updates could be causing some confusion, especially when it comes to the emails regarding documentation and appraisals.
We appreciate your understanding on this, and we're grateful some of you brought it to our attention.
After consulting with production and operations leadership, we have turned off these automatic milestone updates for the remainder of 2021 and will be going live with new and improved loan status updates in 2022. Until these emails are back up, we urge you to update both your agents and borrowers on your own when anything changes with their loan.
Stay tuned as we create something more accurate, simple, and streamlined!
Changes to Simple Nexus
You may have already noticed that a few cosmetic changes occurred to Simple Nexus over the last few weeks. The Partner Web Portal and the Borrower Landing Page have been redesigned for a much easier and simpler experience.
Additionally, there have been some updates to the partner notification settings. The following articles may help. And as always, reach out to marketing@castlecookemortgage.com with any questions.
One more note: due to problems with many borrowers' selecting a loan officer incorrectly, Simple Nexus has changed how borrowers download their app. Now, “Click here to download my app” will no longer feed directly to the App Store or Google Play. Instead, it will open a browser on the borrower’s phone, prompt them to create an account, and THEN take them to the App Store.
Continue sharing your custom link to your app, which can be found in the Share App tab.

Better yet, you can share the app directly from your phone by entering the lead as a contact in your phonebook, then sharing it via Simple Nexus.
Help us welcome Media Production Manager Tim Cutler!

In October, we welcomed video and photography expert Tim Cutler to the Marketing team as our first-ever media production manager. He will lead efforts to create a wide variety of compelling videos for both our corporate brand and for individual loan officers.
Tim grew up in Maine and has lived in Utah for going on eight years. He has worked in marketing and digital media projects for 13 years, with clients ranging from ski resorts to clothing companies, architectural design, and television shows.
The outdoors is where he spends most of his off time, either mountain biking or camping. He can often be found up either Cottonwood in the winter months snowboarding with his wife and friends.
If you have a great idea for a video project, contact your account executive or reach out to Tim directly.
Impress your agents with discounts on training
Quality real estate training can help your referral partners grow, and Dynamite Productions has another round of great offerings coming up.
Starting Nov. 19, your agents can learn all about real estate investing (and find out how to become investors themselves) in a multi-day course. Dec. 2-3, they can earn Accredited Buyer’s Representatives (ABR®) designation.
If you haven't already, send your real estate agents to our Business Development and Sales Training page to register. The classes are heavily discounted for your agents when they sign up using the code CCMROCKS.

How to co-brand flyers in the Forge
Co-branded flyers are a great way to grow your pipeline—and help your real estate agent referral partners out in the process! Learn how to co-brand flyers in this video or by following these steps:
1. Sign into The Forge. From the side menu panel, click the arrow next to Marketing to expand the menu. Then, click Flyers.
2. You will be redirected to Top of Mind. You will see a list of available flyers that can be cobranded and downloaded.
3. Click on the flyer of your choice. Once the flyer populates, there are multiple options on the top right side including PDF, JPEG, and cobranding.
A. To co-brand, select the Co-Brand button. A pop up will appear. Select the first Dynamic Signature on the top left (Company Signature (1000px x 442x).
B. Next, scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see two drop down menus. First, select the contact type (Real Estate Agent). Then, in the second drop down box , select the name of your co-brand partner.

4. Success! Your branding and your agent's branding will load on the bottom of your flyer of choice. From there, go back to the top of the page and select the file type you'd like to download (JPEG, PDF, or link options available).
